A little late to be posting this but we really enjoyed our Christmas eve this year besides not being with family. We were invited by unko (Uncle) Benny for his Christmas eve party with his family. We expected a good amount of food that is usually at a Hawaiian luau, but when we got there we were once again completely amazed by the amount of food that was prepared. Our little contribution seemed pointless next to the mounds of food ready to eat. They say that the Hawaiians eat until they fall asleep. It makes sense! We enjoyed our time that night talking with friends and listening to unko Benny play his ukulele and sing. We met unco Benny in our ward in Kahuku. He has been working at the Polynesian Cultural Center for many years and he his daughter Tasha plays pro soccer. She actually played on the USA team in the Olympics when they won the gold! Luckily...we were able to meet her that night :)
